When: Monday March 6 – 12:00 GMT

Where: Headquarters of the African Development Bank Group (CCIA), Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Mr. Ajay Banga will visit the African Development Bank Group headquarters in Abidjan on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Banga will meet with the President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, members of the senior management of the banking group and directors of the group’s board of directors.

Banga will give a brief commentary to the media at 2:45 pm.

On February 23, President Joe Biden announced Ajay Banga as the United States’ nominee for president of the World Bank Group. The institution’s current president, David Malpass, recently announced his intention to step down by the end of June 2023.

Banga announced this week that he will be traveling to different countries and organizations to learn more about their priorities and concerns.
