U.S. Ambassador visits Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation: Strengthen Aviation Cooperation

Ongoing Efforts to Enhance Bilateral Relations
Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, welcomed U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. This meeting, attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is part of ongoing efforts to boost international partnerships and strengthen cooperation in the civil aviation sector.
Strengthening U.S.-Egypt Aviation Security Collaboration
Minister El-Hefny highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Egypt and the United States. He praised the collaboration with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), noting their crucial role in enhancing aviation security, combatting human trafficking, and addressing illegal immigration between the two nations. The minister also stressed the importance of utilizing U.S. expertise to improve Egypt’s airport security systems, adopting the latest technologies to ensure the safety of passengers, flights, and cargo in compliance with international standards.
U.S. Support for Egypt’s Aviation Advancements
Ambassador Herro Mustafa expressed her admiration for the significant progress Egypt has made in the civil aviation sector. She reaffirmed the U.S.’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s efforts to develop this vital industry. Both parties agreed to continue their joint efforts to strengthen cooperation, aiming to enhance Egypt’s civil aviation industry on regional and golbal scales.
