Taman Negara National Park

Taman Negara National Park is over 130 million years old, making it one of the oldest rainforests in the world, and a testament to Malaysia’s ecological wealth. This biodiverse reserve covers more than 4,000 square kilometers and is home to a stunning array of flora and fauna, including rare species such as the Malayan tiger and the Asian elephant. Highlights of our stay at Mutiara Taman Negara included serene boat rides on the Tembeling River, listening to gibbons calling and watching sea eagles bartering for their dinner, while being embraced by the towering and ancient trees of the surrounding rainforest. Also, the feeling of achievement combined with the mesmerizing views upon arrival at the top of Bukit Teresek should not be forgotten.
