Secretary Blinken’s call with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani
Foreign Minister Antony Blinken spoke to Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani by telephone today. They discussed Tunisia’s political and economic challenges and the need to support the Tunisian government to implement durable solutions. The United States continues to stress the importance of the Tunisian government quickly implementing its own economic reform program to deal with the country’s economic crisis and reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund. They also discussed the importance of continuing to support Ukraine and holding Russia accountable for its unprovoked war against Ukraine.
