: Romania actively participated in the Egypt-EU Investment Conference with a strong delegation headed by Sergiu Burlacu, President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (RAIT).
Accompanying Burlacu were representatives from 10 companies operating in the fields of energy, renewable energy, industrial equipment, tourism, HORECA, food industries, and strategic business development.
The Romanian delegation head, along with the CEO of CISGAZ Romania, attended the roundtable discussion chaired by H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Dr. Ursula von der Leyen.
The side meetings held by Mr. Burlacu and the Romanian companies resulted in concrete plans to enhance their presence in the Egyptian economy by expanding existing contracts and engaging in new short- to medium-term economic projects.
President Burlacu also held a brief meeting with Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat to pave the way for convening a new session of the Joint Economic Bilateral Commission and the Business Forum scheduled to take place in Bucharest in the last quarter of 2024.
