Police are investigating after a 51-year-old woman was found dead at her home

The investigation continues after a 51-year-old woman was found dead in a home.

Around 9pm on Thursday, Queensland Police visited an address in Bongaree in connection with a welfare check.

The woman was then found unresponsive by police, who declared the property a crime scene.

An investigation into the circumstances of her death is currently underway. Police are appealing to the public with information or CCTV/dashcam footage of Melia St between Tuesday and Thursday to contact police on Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
