Oman celebrates the Sultanate’s National Day in Cairo

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo celebrates, on Wednesday, the Sultanate’s National Day and the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Egyptian-Omani relations, under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador in Cairo, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, with the participation of several ambassadors, diplomats, senior public figures, intellectuals and politicians in the two countries.

The celebration also coincides with the Sultanate of Oman’s celebration of its 52nd National Day, the beginning of a new year of possible plans and strategies for implementing the country’s Vision 2040, and a new year added to the distinguished and well-established march of Omani-Egyptian relations.

Al-Rahbi added in his speech during the celebration; Wisdom and balance have always been the title of the relations between the two countries, and those relations extend with confidence and stability under the wise political leadership of the two countries.

President El-Sisi’s visit to the Sultanate of Oman and meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq was a solid boost to the relations between the two countries.

He pointed out that the fruits of that visit are seen in the mutual visits of business people and the signing of cooperation agreements between the two countries in the industrial, tourism and economic fields.

He added that during the Climate Summit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Omani Investment Authority, Egypt and Saudi ACWA Power to invest in the wind energy project in Suez, with investments of $1.5 billion, in which the Omani Authority owns 10%.
