On the Anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan: Egypt’s Timeless Epic and Unrivaled Position

The commemoration of the 10th of Ramadan in the year 1393 AH remains an extraordinary event in modern Egyptian history, particularly in the broader Arab and Islamic contexts. It symbolizes the great crossing, a monumental achievement by the valiant sons of the Egyptian Armed Forces, reclaiming territory and defending honor, dignity, and pride.
This anniversary, marked by the greatest victory in modern Arab history against a haughty occupier, truly embodies the authenticity and courage of the Egyptian people and their armed forces, showcasing their ability to perform miracles in times of crisis. On the 10th of Ramadan in 1393 AH, corresponding to the 6th of October, 1973 CE, the Egyptian Army launched a comprehensive assault by air, sea, and land to overcome the occupation forces and shatter the supposedly impregnable Bar Lev Line. This historic triumph restored Egypt and the Arab region to their lands and dignity, proving to the world that Egypt is a shield and a sword not to be underestimated, regardless of challenges and adversities.
The anniversary of the victory of the 10th of Ramadan this year coincides with significant achievements, monumental national projects, and remarkable transformations underway in the Arab Republic of Egypt under its current leadership. This wise leadership, guided by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, navigates through turbulent seas of challenges in military, political, and economic realms, casting significant shadows on the future of this region and beyond.
Egypt is not an ordinary country within its surroundings or its region. It is a pivotal state with a significant position, vision, and role as a cornerstone of balance, security, and stability in this vital area of the world. Its ability to achieve security, stability, and fulfill its role in the existential issues facing our region makes it a focal point for world leaders and statesmen aspiring to preserve international peace and security, prevent chaos, and curb wars. Hence, all attempts to marginalize Egypt’s role, diminish its importance, or exclude it from the region’s equations are bound to fail, no matter the turmoil or pressures surrounding this significant country.
On the bilateral level, regarding relations between the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt, the anniversary of the victory of the 10th of Ramadan this year brings with it tidings of goodness and prosperity. Relations between the two countries have transcended customary levels and progressed into a phase of sharing visions and common interests based on mutual respect and cooperation, aimed at achieving the aspirations of both brotherly peoples. This progress occurs under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who have successfully laid the foundations of these relations.
These robust relations have been reflected in reciprocal visits at the leadership, prime ministerial, and diplomatic levels, as well as the convening of the Joint High Committee in Doha, chaired by the foreign ministers of both brotherly countries, and the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding covering all areas.
On this momentous anniversary, it is imperative to shed light on the significant efforts made by Doha and Cairo to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, and negotiate prisoner exchange deals, all aimed at achieving a comprehensive and enduring cessation of this devastating war and preventing its escalation and spread.
In this regard, there is constant coordination and consultation between Cairo and Doha, with negotiations held in both capitals involving all relevant parties, aimed at achieving this goal, reflecting the high level of relations between them.
In conclusion, I extend my sincerest congratulations and felicitations to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership, government, and people, on this blessed and auspicious anniversary, invoking the Almighty to bestow upon Egypt the blessings of security, stability, and peace, and upon its great people, prosperity and flourishing.
