French and Egyptian Naval Leaders Discuss Strengthening Mutual Cooperation

Admiral Ashraf Ibrahim Attia, the Commander of the Egyptian Navy, met with Rear Admiral Emmanuel Salars, the Commander of the French Maritime Zone for the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, along with his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt. This meeting falls within the framework of the Armed Forces’ keenness to enhance areas of military cooperation with various sisterly and friendly countries.

The meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest regarding supporting maritime security and stability in the region, as well as exploring ways to enhance maritime cooperation between the two sides in the coming period.

Both sides emphasized the depth of the strategic partnership between the Egyptian and French navies and the importance of enhancing it in light of the distinguished ties between the two friendly countries in various fields.
