Foreign Minister discusses arrangements for emergency Arab summit in Cairo tomorrow with his Tunisian counterpart

Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received today, Monday, Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad in the sisterly Republic of Tunisia.

Minister Abdel Aati praised the boom in the path of Egyptian-Tunisian bilateral relations over the past years, which contributed to advancing relations between the two brotherly countries. He stressed the importance of achieving maximum benefit from the existing cooperation frameworks between the two countries, and maintaining the regularity of the convening of joint bilateral committees.

The two ministers discussed developments in the Palestinian issue, where they stressed the rejection of any measures aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land, as well as the necessity of seeking to reach a permanent and just political solution to the Palestinian issue by establishing an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed Egypt’s support for the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. He discussed with his Tunisian counterpart the efforts to rebuild Gaza and the arrangements for the emergency Arab summit hosted by Cairo tomorrow, March 4.
