Fifth US-Qatar Strategic Dialogue promotes economic and commercial cooperation
The United States and Qatar held the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Session as part of the Fifth Annual Strategic Dialogue on Monday, February 20 in Doha, Qatar. Dilawar Syed, Special Representative of the US Department of State for Trade and Business Affairs, opened and chaired the session. Special Representative Syed was accompanied by US Department of Commerce Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and Africa, International Trade Authority Camille Richardson. The Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Sultan bin Rashid Al-Khater, headed the Qatari delegation.
During the economic and trade cooperation session, delegations discussed long-term bilateral engagement on a wide range of issues including Qatari investment in the United States, investment opportunities for US companies in Qatar, ways to improve economic and commercial cooperation through ICT, and women’s economic participation.
