Demonstration Alert (March 24, 2023)
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Case: A demonstration is to take place in the neighborhood of the US Embassy im Friday, March 24, 2023, afternoon. Demonstrators plan to start their march at Parliament and go via Hamngatan and Strandvägen to the US Embassy at Dag Hammarskjölds väg 31. Expect traffic delays in the area. Demonstrations have the potential to trigger counter-demonstrations and protests. As a general precaution, we remind all citizens to remain vigilant in the vicinity of protests and demonstrations as these events can be unpredictable and turn violent.
Planned demonstration locations for Friday, March 24, 2023:
Starts at 12:30 from the Parliament at Riksgatan 1, travels mainly via Strandvägen, and ends at the US Embassy around 15:00. During this time there may be traffic delays in the area.
