Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in Netflix series
Arnold Schwarzenegger told us he was coming back — but little did we know it would be on Netflix. The former California governor and action film icon will star in his first-ever television series on the streaming service. The eight-episode series begins May 25.
footbar will see Schwarzenegger as a former CIA agent who learns his daughter has also become one as the two are forced to bond. The series will strive to reproduce the mix of action and humor that Schwarzenegger’s hit series was known for in the late 1980s and 1990s.
“Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like ‘True Lies.’ Well, here it is,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement. “‘Fubar’ will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.”
Schwarzenegger is a long way from his starring days, but with grossing more than $4 billion over the course of his career and multiple franchises, he’s still a huge star.
The footbar The trailer shows him on familiar terrain, smoking cigars, firing guns, zooming around corners on a motorcycle and running from an actual dumpster fire.
In addition to directing the series, Schwarzenegger will also serve as a producer footbar. Nick Santora, who continued to work Prison breakout And reachers, created the series in collaboration with Skydance Television. Monica Barbaro, Jay Baruchel and Fortune Feimster will star.
