US citizens are advised that there is a shooting range approximately 500 meters northeast of the Maadi entrance to the Waadi Degla Protectorate. The area works every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; The area may also be operational at other times. Visitors to the Protectorate may occasionally hear target practice and should exercise caution as stray bullets can occasionally hit either the northern or southern plateaus. US citizens are advised to leave the area if they hear gunfire and avoid Waadi Degla when the shooting range is in operation.
