Yasawa Island Resort & Spa, one of Fiji’s leading luxury resorts, has been listed for sale by Sydney-based vendors James and Erin McCann. Yasawa Island Resort & Spa is located on the northwest side of Fiji’s main islands and is accessible via a 25-minute flight from Nadi International Airport. The facility is the sole resident on the 30-acre island with 18 luxury beachfront bungalows, a private airstrip, world-class food and beverage service, and an award-winning day spa.

CBRE Hotel’s Tom Gibson and Michael Simpson are managing the sale through an international expressions of interest campaign that closes May 11, 2023. Spanning 29.9 acres of island, the all-inclusive resort also offers intimate and unique cultural experiences such as local village festivals, scuba diving, fishing and picnics on the private beach.

“The availability of vacant property and the size of the land presents the new owner with an incredible opportunity to scale up with luxury brand homes,” said Gibson. “Possible expansion plans include the expansion of rooms up to 50 keys with beach views, ocean views and garden rooms, as well as the development of branded homes to create an integrated resort.”

Mr Simpson added: “The strength of the global luxury resort sector has proven to be both resilient and highly sought after. Yasawa Island Resort & Spa presents as a logical opportunity to hire one of the leading hotel managers to set a new benchmark in the market.”

In recent years, Fiji has received a lot of global interest in ultra high-end destinations, including COMO’s Laucala Island, owned by the Red Bull family, Kokomo Private Island Resort, owned by Lang Walker AO, and Wadigi Island, owned by Google founder Larry Page.

Vendor, James McCann added: “The resort has been a part of my wife Erin’s life since the late 1990s when she was General Manager of the resort, and our family’s property since 2010. The incredible people of the Yasawa Islands have formed a bond that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We look forward to the wonderful and exciting next phase for the resort that a new owner could bring.”
