A plethora of new dining options await guests at The Peninsula Hong Kong this spring, as the hotel’s acclaimed culinary team presents a collection of tantalizing new menus that highlight the flavors of the season.

Typical Turkish breakfast in The Lobby

On the occasion of the recent opening of The Peninsula Istanbul, the beautiful new property along the Bosphorus, The Peninsula has invited guests in all its hotels to taste the art of Turkish cuisine. Since Türkiye is a country with a vibrant history and a tradition of culinary arts that offers a particularly tantalizing glimpse into its culture, offering time-honored Turkish sweets and dishes – both in the hotel restaurants and in-room amenities – The Peninsula has aiming to give guests a taste of “All Things Turkish.”

At The Peninsula Hong Kong, morning diners can enjoy the captivating flavors of Istanbul at the hotel’s signature lobby restaurant with a choice of usual Turkish breakfast dishes: Cilbir, poached eggs served with delicious garlic yogurt and finished with olive oil and red chilli flakes; or Menemen, slow-cooked eggs with a ragout of tomatoes, peppers, onions and garlic. Turkish breakfast set is also available in The Lobby, featuring Açma Poğaça with jam and honeycomb, feta cheese with marinated olives, dried fruit, plain yogurt with pomegranate seeds, cucumbers and tomatoes, citrus salad, along with Turkish tea, coffee or The Peninsula’s tea collection.

The typical Turkish breakfast menu is available from now until May 14, 2023 and costs HK$228* per dish and HK$368* per Turkish breakfast package.

Classic dinner dance at The Lobby

In the late 1920s and 1930s, The Peninsula Hong Kong’s reputation for gracious social gatherings and dancing began to develop, becoming the venue of choice for the city’s most glamorous dinner dances. These highly sophisticated social events have enabled generations of guests to enjoy the delights of a delicious meal accompanied by dancing to the music of a live band – whose repertoire includes jazz, swing, Latin and popular hits.

On April 27, 2023, The Peninsula Hong Kong is reviving this delicious tradition by inviting all merry guests to put on their dancing shoes for a Classic Dinner Dance at the hotel’s elegant lobby restaurant.

The evening special menu includes dishes such as Green Pea Risotto Croquette with Bellota Ham, Pita Bread and White Bonito Taco, Tasmanian Salmon a la Plancha with White Asparagus, Cherry Tomato and Vierge Sauce, Grilled Iberian Pork Plum with Candied Apples and Chickpea Puree, and Floating Island with Strawberries and Madagascar vanilla sauce.

An evening not to be missed, the Classic Dinner Dance costs HK$2,188* per person and reservations are required.
