Remarks following the failure of a UN Security Council resolution on Nord Stream proposed by Russia in response to Russia

Thank you Mr President. I apologize for taking the floor, but I have to respond to points raised by the representative of the Russian Federation.
As mentioned here, since the attacks, Russia has accused the United States of carrying out those attacks – and said that we are responsible for carrying out those attacks. With these comments it became very clear that Russia was not interested in an impartial investigation – it had already decided who was to blame. Russia was simply playing politics.
The three countries that launched investigations are concerned about what is happening to infrastructure around the world. We need to keep this investigation going.
I think it’s a positive sign that Russia is showing concern about the threat to critical infrastructure — specifically that part of critical infrastructure. I hope they show the same concern about Ukraine’s infrastructure and what is raining on it.
