Ambassador Katherine Tai travels to the ROK
WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Seoul, Republic of Korea, March 28-31, 2023.
Ambassador Tai will be in Seoul to lead the U.S. delegation to the Republic of Korea (ROK) as part of the 2023 Democracy Summit and attend multiple meetings to further strengthen U.S.-ROK economic and trade ties .
On March 30, Ambassador Tai will speak at the Summit for Democracy’s Indo-Pacific regional anti-corruption meeting to highlight how the Biden administration is working with our allies and partners to advance democracy, strengthen our institutions, and fight corruption .
Ambassador Tai will also meet with Republic of Korea Minister of Commerce Ahn Dukgeun and Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jung Sik. They will discuss common priorities ahead of President Yoon’s visit to Washington, DC in April, as well as ongoing negotiations on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).
Ambassador Tai will return to Washington, DC on March 31st.
