Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent is known for curating five-star trips around the world, but the company’s jet ventures take it all to a new level, literally and figuratively.

Abercrombie & Kent has specially chartered and rebuilt a Boeing 757-200ER with a complete premium business style layout to ensure every passenger has a first class experience. The seat configuration operated by Icelandair can be optimized for the journey or use case. (For example, it can be dismantled with other service cabins to be reintegrated into Icelandair’s scheduled network so that it flies regularly.)

As a passenger on this particular private jet, Abercrombie & Kent emphasizes that travelers can go directly to more destinations that are not easily accessible by the major airlines – even from major US airports – as well as bypassing long customs and security lines and coming and going with one can schedule based on guests’ itinerary compared to a typical flight schedule.

The cabin houses 50 premium leather seats that recline a full 180 degrees into a bed over six feet long, with adjustable massage functions, as well as multiple power outlets (including USB ports) to keep electronics charged. Free Wi-Fi is also included where service is available. Each seat’s footrest doubles as an extra seat, perfect for in-flight socializing. And there’s an adjustable reading light and privacy screen for those who want some personal recharge time.

Bose noise-cancelling headphones and dedicated iPads are provided, and come equipped with entertainment options (movies, games and a digital jukebox with hundreds of songs) and a live route map for onboard use.

All cabin attendants, selected by A&K experts for their exceptional friendliness and attention to detail, accompany guests from start to finish of their tours with the intention of making the private jet feel more like a home away from home. Guests also keep the same seats on the plane throughout the tour.
Rounding out the private jet crew is an experienced chef and assistant chef, who oversee each serving to ensure each meal meets the highest standards of taste and freshness. A bar stocked with premium brands (along with a curated wine list) completes an elegant (and upscale) onboard experience. On select stages of a tour, guests can experience real champagne dreams and caviar desires, with premium champagne (and other wines) as well as at-seat caviar service (including a vegan seaweed caviar).
