To watch, stream France vs Morocco and FIFA World Cup semi-finals in Qatar live and free online without cable : Fox, Telemundo

Shame on your company’s HR department for the next two days.

FIFA doesn’t care about deadlines, meetings or responsibilities. And it ignores all company schedules. Scheduling the World Cup semifinals midweek is the global equivalent of the NFL’s decision to play the AFC and NFC championship games on a Tuesday afternoon.

Portugal (and Rolando) is out. Argentina (and Messi) are still going strong. But the big news is, of course, Morocco’s semi-finals, the first African team to have progressed that far.

The France-Morocco game is undoubtedly the most awaited semi-final game. France are the defending champions, while Morocco’s underdog story is captivating, even for non-soccer fans.

Can’t sneak away, whether it’s to the local sports bar or your own living room? Here’s what you need to know to still be able to watch the 2022 World Cup semi-finals

What is the schedule for the 2022 World Cup semi-finals?

Tuesday December 13th

Argentina vs. Croatia, 2:00 p.m. ET on Fox and Peacock

Wednesday December 14th

France vs. Morocco, 2:00 p.m. ET on Fox and Peacock

When will the 3rd place playoffs and final of the 2022 World Cup take place?

The losers of the semi-finals will go head-to-head on December 17th at 10:00am ET to fight for third place.

This year’s final game will take place on Sunday, December 18 at 10:00 am ET.

Can I watch the 2022 World Cup if I don’t have a cable subscription?

Yes. While the first rounds will be broadcast on FS1, the semi-finals (and finals) will be broadcast on Fox’s broadcast channel as well as on Telemundo. Both channels can be received via an over-the-air antenna in most cities, so you can watch them even without a cable subscription.

To ensure you are getting the most reliable signal, you should test the antenna in multiple locations around your home. However, note that you will not be able to watch games on FS1, which includes a number of games aimed at English audiences.

How can I stream the 2022 World Cup if I don’t have a cable subscription?

There are a variety of options.

peacock

NBC’s streaming service is the streaming home of the World Cup and will broadcast all 64 games with Spanish broadcasts. There will also be on-demand broadcasts of completed matches. (Note that no English broadcasting alternative has been announced yet.) You can get a seven-day free trial followed by a $5 or $10 monthly fee. (The free version of Peacock does not include live sports.)

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial of this service is no longer offered. It will cost you $70 per month.

YouTubeTV

After up to a two-week trial, you can expect monthly fees of $65.

Sling TV

Dish Network’s lower-tier “Orange” Sling plan costs $35 per month. Adding the more comprehensive “Blue” plan increases the cost to $50 per month. You have a seven-day free trial first – and already the cord cutting service cuts the first month’s bill in half.

DirectTV stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow, and AT&T TV, this often-rebranded streaming service costs $70 per month and up after the free trial option.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service carries broadcast networks to most markets. There’s a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly fees ranging from $70 to $100 depending on the channels you choose.

What happens if the teams are tied in the semi-finals of the World Cup?

As you might expect, these games cannot end in a draw.

If the teams are tied after 90 minutes of regular play, the game goes into 30-minute overtime. If it is still unclear after 120 minutes of total playing time, there will be a penalty shootout. Each side takes turns kicking the ball from the penalty spot while the goalkeeper tries to stop the shot. The team that scores the most goals in five attempts wins.

If things are still even after those five shots, the penalty shootout will continue until “one team with the same number of shots has scored one goal more than the other,” according to FIFA.
