At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister stressed the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries, pointing out the Egyptian government’s keenness to increase the volume of joint cooperation between the two sides, especially with the launch of the Marrakesh Declaration by the two sides last year to launch major cooperation between Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco in various fields of transport, and in light of the two sides’ aspiration to cooperate in the field of industry.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of joint cooperation in the field of industry, as the minister stressed that Egypt is implementing a comprehensive plan to advance the industrial sector with the aim of transforming Egypt into a regional industrial center in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, noting that Egypt is open to cooperation with all countries of the world, especially sister Arab countries, and that there are promising opportunities in this field that could constitute a major start for joint cooperation in the field of industry, which contributes to increasing the volume of trade exchange between them and reaching various African and foreign markets.

In the same context, successful experiences in the two brotherly countries in various fields were reviewed, including the transportation sector, as the Minister of Industry and Transport confirmed that Egyptian companies that have implemented and are implementing giant projects in Egypt and African countries are fully prepared to implement projects in brotherly Morocco, including infrastructure projects and sports facilities for the 2030 World Cup that will be held in brotherly Morocco, which was welcomed by the Moroccan ambassador who confirmed that Egyptian companies must participate in the tenders for these projects, in addition to the need to hold intensive meetings between officials from both sides during the coming period to discuss activating this cooperation.
