Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia Nicholas Berliner’s Travel
At the C5+1 Summit in September, President Biden reiterated that the United States would continue to support investment in and development of the Trans-Caspian Corridor through the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI). To further advance these efforts, Nicholas Berliner, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia, will lead an interagency delegation with representatives from the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) at Global Gateway Investors Forum for EU-Central Asia Transport Connectivity from January 29th to 30th in Brussels. The Investor Forum will bring together key stakeholders, including senior representatives from Central Asian countries, EU Member States, partner countries and international and bilateral financial institutions, to coordinate investments for and implementation of specific projects along the Trans-Caspian Corridor based on a study by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
