Abdullah bin Zayed: Strengthening Bilateral Ties with Czech Republic

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held a meeting with His Excellency Jan Lipavský, the Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, during his official visit to the capital city of Prague on March 27th.

The meeting, conducted as part of Sheikh Abdullah’s visit to Prague, focused on exploring avenues to enhance bilateral relations and frameworks for cooperation between the UAE and the Czech Republic.

Exploring Opportunities for Economic Cooperation

Both ministers discussed the available opportunities to develop Emirati-Czech cooperation in various fields, including economic, investment, and developmental sectors. They highlighted the potential for enhancing trade and investment ties between the two countries, aiming to mutually benefit their respective populations.

Commitment to Regional Stability

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s keen interest in strengthening its relations with the friendly Czech Republic across all levels. He commended the continuous development in the levels of mutual cooperation between the two nations.

Minister Jan Lipavský welcomed Sheikh Abdullah’s visit and the accompanying delegation, expressing his country’s eagerness to enhance cooperation with the UAE across various domains.

Addressing Regional Developments

The discussions between Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Lipavský also touched upon the developments in the Middle East region, particularly the humanitarian situation in Gaza and its repercussions.

Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of regional and international efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, protecting the security and safety of all civilians and enhancing relief efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in the region.

International Cooperation Against Extremism

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of international cooperation to end extremism, tension, and violence in the region. He emphasized the utmost priority of protecting the lives of all civilians and intensifying humanitarian support for the people of Gaza to alleviate their suffering.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajeri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Dr. Ghalya Ali Al-Humaidan, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the UAE in the Czech Republic. Additionally, His Excellency Jerry Kozák, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, was also present during the meeting.

The discussions between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Minister Jan Lipavský underscored the shared commitment of the UAE and the Czech Republic to further deepen their bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields for the mutual benefit of both nations.
