FCDO advises against all travel to Haiti
Your travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel contrary to FCDO instructions. Consular support is also severely limited if the FCDO advises against travel.
FCDO advises against all travel to Haiti due to the unstable security situation. There are currently no British consular officers in Haiti and our ability to provide consular assistance is severely limited and cannot be provided in person in Haiti.
British nationals can receive consular assistance at our diplomatic mission in the Dominican Republic.
If you decide to travel to Haiti or stay there, against it FCDO Try to avoid crowds and public events and take appropriate safety precautions.
Emergency
The government has declared a state of emergency until April 3rd, which applies to all areas in the Département de l’Ouest. Due to the state of emergency, a curfew for citizens will apply daily from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. until March 26, 2024.
