Oman Welcomes UN Security Council Call for Ceasefire in Sudan

Oman has expressed its welcome to the United Nations Security Council’s adoption of a resolution, by majority vote, calling for a cessation of hostilities in the sisterly Republic of Sudan. The Sultanate views this resolution as a significant step towards achieving stability and peace in Sudan.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman emphasized the importance of dialogue and political solutions as means to end conflicts and enhance national unity in Sudan. This, it believes, will provide opportunities for peace and stability for the Sudanese people.
