The African Development Bank Group will organize a hybrid seminar together with KIEP to present the African Economic Outlook 2023 report on the 12e from July 2023.
The African Economic Outlook is the annual flagship publication of the African Development Bank Group that provides compelling, up-to-date evidence and analysis of Africa’s economic performance to inform policy decisions. The 2023 edition focuses on mobilizing private sector resources to finance climate and green growth on the continent.
This year’s presentation will be the fourth to be organized following successful sessions co-hosted since 2020 by the African Development Bank’s Asia External Representation Office and the Bank’s Department of Macroeconomic Policy, Forecasting and Research.
The event will be particularly useful for senior government officials, government agencies, diplomats, development agencies, the private sector, members of civil society, think tanks and academia. In short, all parties who would like to follow the economic trends and opportunities in the field of climate finance and green growth in Africa.
Professor Kevin Chika Urama, Chief Economist and Vice President for Economic Governance and Knowledge Management at the African Development Bank, will present the report. Ambassador Edmond Wega, Executive Director for Korea, Canada, China, Kuwait and Turkey at the African Development Bank, will deliver words of welcome.
The session has a hybrid form; a physical meeting at the KIEP headquarters in Sejong, Korea, and online participation.
Last year’s event attracted more than 400 participants from Africa and Asia. This seminar usually calls on the main Asian partners of the African Development Bank as a platform for constructive policy dialogue.
The event will be held mainly in English. Simultaneous interpretation in French will be available.
