Silversea Cruises®, the leading ultra-luxury cruise line, has revealed details of its 140-day 2026 world cruise, ‘The Curious and the Sea’ – the most diverse and immersive voyage in the cruise line’s history, featuring the largest collection of extensive sailings in ultra-luxury cruising. Guests will board the Silver Dawn® in Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2026, before traveling deep into 70 destinations in 37 countries – the most ever on a Silversea World Cruise – including 26 calls that are new to a Silversea World Cruise or not visited since 2020. and 9 nights. An exclusive pre-sale will begin on June 14 for members of the Venetian Association, while general sales will begin on June 22.

‘The Curious and the Sea’ will connect travelers to the rich history of shipping, inspired by the same curiosity that led ancient navigators to sail to lands unknown. Channeling the same spirit of discovery that has led to exploration through the ages, bespoke events ashore, onboard activities, regionally inspired culinary experiences, three optional overland tours (Uzbekistan, Luxor and the Balkans) and more will make the enrich journey. Guests will follow ancient trade routes, cruise the waters that connected the Silk Road, and navigate both the Panama and Suez Canals; they will set foot on some of the world’s most remote islands, including those in the South Pacific, a region explored by Captain James Cook in the 18th century; and they will witness countries that inspired scientific progress, such as Western Australia, which attracted Charles Darwin in 1836.

70 destinations, 37 countries, 26 new destinations, 140 days

After a curated travel experience – including private executive transfers, Business class flights and a special meet and greet service – world cruise guests will board Silver Dawn in Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2026, traveling through Central America, before crossing the Panama Canal to South America. Easter Island, French Polynesia and the South Pacific follow, taking guests to New Zealand and half a circumnavigation of Australia. Travelers will then explore Southeast Asia, crossing the Bay of Bengal to Sri Lanka, India and the Red Sea, before passing through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean. They will delve into European history and culture before the journey concludes in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 27, 2026.

Newly scouted: 28-day deep dive in the South Pacific

After months of extensive exploration by Silversea’s destination experts to unlock new destinations, a 28-day immersion in French Polynesia and the South Pacific will highlight the global journey. New calls for a Silversea World Cruise are Nuku Hiva and Atuona in the Marquesas Islands; Fakarava, with its UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere Reserve; Tonga’s Nukuʻalofa; Lifou and Noumea in New Caledonia; and Norfolk Island. Explorations of Bora Bora and Papeete in French Polynesia, Aitutaki in the Cook Islands and Savusavu in Fiji will also highlight the region. Tailored World Cruise events will showcase the history, traditions and folklore of the South Pacific.

First time on a Silversea World Cruise: half the circumference of Australia

Silver Dawn will sail between Hobart (Tasmania) and Darwin on a 21-day semi-round trip around Australia, traveling off the beaten track along the country’s southern and western coasts for the first time on a Silversea World Cruise. Guests will admire some of the world’s clearest night skies, follow in the footsteps of early explorers who looked to the stars for navigation, as well as the country’s most spectacular landscapes and animal species – some of which inspired Charles Darwin’s ‘Theory of Evolution’. La Goulette in Tunisia, one of the most eagerly awaited visits on the trip, will provide an insight into the bygone days of the ancient Carthaginians and the Roman Empire, with its UNESCO World Heritage medina, Bardo Museum and its fascinating cultural offer. A gateway to Tunisia, La Goulette is a historic port that has long been key to international trade, linking Africa to Europe.

Polynesian Dreams: The South Pacific

A bespoke event in French Polynesia, reserved exclusively for world cruise guests, will showcase the rich, historic marine culture of local communities, with a seafood feast and cultural performances connecting guests to the soul of these spectacular islands. During the event, guests will taste the local flavors, learn the local dances and bask in the Polynesian sunset.

The Magic of Mystery Island: Mystery Island, Vanuatu

Working closely with the island’s Chief and Tourism Department, Silversea has organized a special event on Mystery Island in Vanuatu. Dancers from various islands in the region perform an amalgamation of cultural rituals, while guests dine on the catch of the day in a scenic beach setting and snorkel in some of the world’s clearest waters, teeming with marine life.

From paddy to fork – Benoa, Bali

The cruise line’s guests will feast on regional cuisine alongside the beautiful rice paddies of the five-star resort of Tanah Gajah in Benoa, Bali. The exotic marigold and more: Cochin, India

Guests travel to Alleppey in Cochin’s backwaters for a tailor-made afternoon of entertainment.
