5 new short haul services added to the British Airways London Gatwick network /

British Airways’ Gatwick-based subsidiary, BA Euroflyer, has added Montpellier, Corfu, Mykonos and Innsbruck to its short-haul route network, alongside a new summer service to Salzburg.

Montpellier, in the south of France, is a new addition to the British Airways network, flying three times a week in the summer from 27 May 2023.

The service to Mykonos supports the existing summer routes from London Heathrow and London City, while Corfu complements the existing London Heathrow service. Innsbruck will see an addition of eight new weekly flights in the winter season, adding to the current six times a week service from London Heathrow.

BA Euroflyer’s summer service to Salzburg complements existing winter services from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London City and Southampton.

The airline has also put its Gatwick short-haul winter schedule on sale, with 21 destinations for customers looking to book winter holidays and city breaks. Ski hotspots include Geneva and Turin, while winter sun destinations include Tenerife and Lanzarote.

The announcement of new routes follows the recent news that BA Euroflyer has received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and Operating License from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This allows it to operate as a subsidiary in a similar way to the company’s existing subsidiary, BA Cityflyer, which flies under the British Airways brand and delivers the premium British Airways service customers know and love.

British Airways flies to nearly 40 destinations year-round and is the only Gatwick-based airline to offer both business and economy cabins on all short-haul flights. Passengers flying from Gatwick also enjoy generous baggage allowance, free water and snacks, free seat selection at -24 hours and frequent flyer benefits such as lounge access. Customers flying in Club Europe (business class) enjoy a premium check-in area, lounge access and complimentary gourmet meal and bar service on board.

Executive Club members can enjoy all the benefits of membership across the BA Euroflyer network, including earning Tier Points and Avios on eligible flights, and a minimum of 12 Reward Seats on each flight, from just £1 plus 18,500 Avios.
