Germany calls on Israel to lift restrictions on aid entry into Gaza immediately

The German Foreign Ministry called on the Israeli government on Monday to lift restrictions on the entry of all forms of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip immediately.

A spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry said that preventing the arrival of humanitarian aid is not a legitimate means of exerting pressure in negotiations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to stop the entry of all humanitarian supplies and aid into Gaza as of Sunday morning.
