On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Cultural Center in Egypt in 2014, the center has prepared numerous events for 2024 to promote understanding of various aspects of Korean culture.
The director of the Korean Cultural Center, Mr. Oh Seong-ho, announced the launch of the Korean Culture Week (K-Sound) on September 22 at the Cairo Opera House. The event will explore the beautiful melodies, harmonies, and deep emotions that distinguish classical and modern music in Korea. K-Sound Week serves as a gateway to understanding and appreciating the profound art of Korean music. It is a captivating celebration presented by the Korean Cultural Center in Egypt and is part of Korean Culture Week 2024, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the KCC in Egypt.
K-Sound offers a vibrant blend of traditional and contemporary Korean music, providing a rare opportunity to experience the enchanting sounds and rhythms that define Korea’s musical heritage. From mesmerizing performances by renowned artists to interactive workshops and captivating exhibitions, the event will immerse attendees in the world of Korean music.
Students from Ain Shams University will participate in a special musical performance at the conclusion of the week.
The director of the Korean Cultural Center also spoke about the center’s various cultural activities, especially Korean language education. He highlighted the 30-year history of strong relations between Egypt and Korea, emphasizing that these events play a significant role in bringing the two nations closer together. Additionally, Korean language departments exist at Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Al-Alsun and Aswan University.
